UBIS introduces rPET 753: recyclable packaging tape, printable and with silent unwinding

A new development within the Ubis Ecoline range combining circular economy, industrial functionality and brand communication in a single tape.

UBIS introduces rPET 753, a new packaging tape within the Ubis Ecoline range, developed to continue advancing more sustainable packaging solutions without compromising the performance required by industrial applications.

The product is manufactured using polyester film containing 70% post-consumer recycled material, certified under the ISCC PLUS standard, ensuring full traceability of the circular raw material used. The tape incorporates a natural rubber adhesive and maintains a progressive and silent unwinding, a feature particularly valued in many packaging applications.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this development is its printability. rPET 753 can be printed while maintaining silent unwinding, without the need for additional treatments on the tape. This is made possible by the use of specific inks developed together with one of our collaborators, allowing the tape to be printed without altering its behaviour during application.

The development of these inks has been key to achieving this combination of printability and silent unwinding, two characteristics that are not always easy to combine in this type of product.

The result is a tape that brings together circular economy, industrial functionality and brand communication in a single product, designed to respond to the current needs of the packaging sector and prepared for the future of packaging.
